Where to Buy Mortgage Notes?

Over the past year I’ve been steadily releasing videos on my YouTube channel related to notes. By far the one with the most views was on where to buy mortgage notes. I’m going to update it for 2020 but thought it would be good to repost it here. With >7000 views it has about 10x the views of the video with the second most. These are basically low hanging fruits sources, I wouldn’t give away my best ones in a video, but its a good starting point for someone who is new to notes and isn’t sure where to begin. In my opinion sourcing is the biggest challenge in the notes business. When it comes down to it there are only so many sellers who will sell 1 or 2 notes at a time. One of the most interesting things I’ve learned as I’ve been working on Fusion Income Fund is that if you can buy a larger pool it opens up all kinds of doors with sellers that weren’t accessible previously.  But this video can help if you are just getting started.

The Note Investor Podcast Episode 14 – Cutting Deals With Borrowers

In this week’s podcast episode I posted the replay of my recent webinar on cutting deals with borrowers. People tend to talk in generalities about working with borrowers on forbearance agreements, modifications, and deed in lieu’s. But there is very little detailed information available. In this podcast I dive into some of the details and things to consider when negotiating these deals, and go through some real case studies.
