I recently had Bob Repass on the podcast to discuss the upcoming NoteExpo November 1-2 in Dallas. If you aren’t familiar with Bob, he is the Managing Director of Colonial Funding Group, and has extensive experience in the mortgage industry going back over 25 years. I’ve been to NoteExpo the last few years and it is the largest and best note investing conference the industry has to offer. There is not only great content, but an excellent networking opportunity. I have done deals with a few people who I originally met at NoteExpo. If you haven’t already signed up to attend NoteExpo its not too late.
This year they are going to have a focus on cyber security. Its a subject I already know quite a bit about from my background at Oracle. Computer security is one of those things that most people don’t pay attention to until it bites them. At Oracle we had numerous case studies of businesses that went out of business when their network security (or lack therof) was breached. This conference will be an opportunity to learn more about what you should be doing to secure your notes business.
