I hope you had a great Thanksgiving and were able to get away from work and spend some quality time with your family. I know I did, and we also got some warm weather here in Colorado so I was able to get some golf in which was a nice bonus.
My Email Debacle
I recently found out that for at least 2 weeks some (but not most) of the emails I sent from my dan@fusionnotes.com account didn’t get delivered. The problem has been pretty maddening because the emails aren’t bouncing so there is no indication they aren’t going through. To make it worse, in some conversations only some of the emails weren’t going through, which made me wonder why people kept asking for information I had already sent them…. Following up is one of the main things you have to do to be a successful note investor, and I couldn’t figure out why all of a sudden the amount of following up I had to do increased dramatically. For a while there I felt like I was taking crazy pills…. At least I think all the emails being sent to me are being received. Once I figured out what was happening I think I was able to get everything straightened out and resend emails using my gmail account. It almost cost me a deal when I thought the seller stopped responding that I was able to salvage.
So if we have corresponded over email in the last few weeks and I didn’t respond, the reason is most likely that my email didn’t go through. Please resend if that is the case, I didn’t mean to go dark on anyone. My hosting company couldn’t find any errors in the system (tech support and auto shops can never diagnose an intermittent problem) and my domain isn’t on any blacklists, so this week I am switching to a different hosting company. They are supposed to perform a “seamless” migration from the old platform, but just in case it isn’t actually seamless you can contact me using my dandeppen5@gmail.com email in the meantime. If you notice my website down or send me an email that bounces please don’t panic. Hopefully these email woes will be over in a couple days.
Deal Updates
Last week I closed on 3 of the assets I mentioned in the last newsletter, and will close on the other 2 this week. I hope to pick up a similar size group of assets sometime before the end of the year, so stay tuned for more updates. Hopefully I can pick some notes that are on a Black Friday sale 😉
